.... an interviewee loved the Border Collie demonstrations, there's something he liked even better. 'The food,' he admitted with a smile. The food? Haggis -- that perplexing combination of pork parts, oatmeal and spices that's supposed to be boiled in a sheep's stomach.

          It's true, the Highland Games offered a little more variety than that: The haggis was nicely packaged into a "Haggis Pup" -- haggis-on-a-bun that resembled a "Polish sausage that tasted like haggis".

          "Yer Yankee Haggis is sae braw,
          There's nae doobt o' that at a'
          Am droolin' sare fae oot ma moo
          So hurry up an' send them noo".

          "First try last evening, excellent - done for 10 minutes on charcoal."

          "Great!"
